Meet our team

Yiya
I’m a proud mom of two—an eight-year-old and a ten-year-old—and a longtime producer in the world of TV commercials. My career in production has been fast-paced and exciting, but as my children grew, I found myself wanting to do something more personally meaningful—something that could make a real difference in people’s lives.
That’s what led me to Infant Swimming Resource (ISR). Water safety has always been important to me, and I realized how critical it is for children to develop lifesaving swim skills early on. Too many families experience the tragedy of drowning, and I wanted to be part of the solution. ISR allows me to help children gain confidence and survival skills in the water while giving parents peace of mind.
Starting this journey has been one of the most fulfilling decisions I’ve ever made. I’m passionate about equipping children with the tools they need to be safe around water and empowering families with knowledge that could one day save a life.
I’m so grateful to be part of this mission and look forward to making a difference in the lives of many more families!

I'm Leire, a Spanish teacher living in Miami since July 2022. My passion for working with children has been a lifelong vocation. I hold degrees in Kindergarten and Elementary Education, and this is my eighth-year teaching. Two years ago, I earned a Master's in Educational Psychology, which led me to be part of the ESE (Exceptional Student Education) program at my school.
In 2010, I took my first course in teaching swimming lessons, and since then, I’ve spent my summers helping children learn how to swim. When I arrived in the U.S., I discovered the ISR program, and I was immediately drawn to its approach. The ability of infants to float and young children to swim to safety amazed me, and I knew I had to become an ISR Instructor.
I truly love this work and its life-saving mission. My goal is to reach the next child before they reach the water alone. As an ISR Instructor, I am committed to ensuring that no parent experiences the heartbreak of losing a child to drowning.
On this website, you’ll find information about the ISR program, along with photos, videos, and articles. If you have any questions or need more details, I’m here to help. 😊

In July 2017, my life changed forever. My 13-month-old son, Mason, survived a non-fatal drowning accident—a moment no parent ever wants to experience. That day, I realized how quickly and silently drowning can happen, and I knew I had to do something to prevent other families from facing the same trauma.
Since then, I have dedicated my life to water safety and drowning prevention. Now, in my third year as a certified Infant Swimming Resource (ISR) instructor, I am committed to teaching children lifesaving survival skills in the water. My goal for 2025 is to reach and educate as many children as possible, empowering them with the ability to float, breathe, and self-rescue if they ever find themselves in a dangerous situation.
Drowning remains the leading cause of death for children ages 1-4, and the statistics are heartbreaking. But the good news is that drowning is preventable—with education, proper training, and layers of protection. Thanks to the generous support of the Live Like Jake Foundation, I am able to continue this life-saving mission, offering lessons to families who need them the most.
Every child deserves the chance to be safe in and around water. Whether you're a parent, caregiver, or advocate, I invite you to join me in spreading awareness and making a difference. Together, we can save lives.
